This site is part of the new American movement against intrusive and imperial government.

It stands for Common Sense. Common Sense in what our government should do, in what we should expect it to do, and how we should react when it is out of control. This is non-partisan. The abuses have been added through bipartisan action over the past 100 years.

Your host believes in peaceful and humane resistance in order to restore the freedom and responsibility of the Republic.

We are all citizens under one law. There is no separate law for some (like elected officials or corporations). Aliens (legal and illegal) are not the same as citizens. Legal aliens are here at our sufferance. Illegal aliens should be removed, ideally by humanely encouraging them to self-deport.

The audience will be citizens who see the trouble coming at us and wish to stand together to usher in new governance through elections, petitions, media campaigns, and local events.

Your host will be adding posts several times a week on topics like:

  1. How did we get here?
  2. Where does it look like we are heading?
  3. Where do we want to go instead?
  4. What do we need to do to turn the ship of state?

I am doing this because it is time for all good men (people!) to come to the aid of their country (the people who make up our country).

Yes, the site name is a pun on common sense for us and common sense for the United States.

This blog is not politically correct. However, hurtful, hateful, and violent/inciting speech will likely be removed at the whim of the host, whose decisions are final. This is not censorship because:

Who am I?

My name is Bruce McKenzie, and I’m a citizen living in Southern California. I am a Manager/Software Engineer by trade. I have been an independent consultant, have worked in the defense industry (Intelligence Community), and for startups (most recently in the network security sector)
